The Race Director, promoter, technical officials, flag personnel and safety personnel control event operations.

1. Official decisions are final for lineup, scoring, race control, safety, technical inspection and disciplinary matters, subject to any formal review procedure established by management.
2. Participants must obey instructions from authorized track officials without delay.
3. Rules may be clarified, amended or supplemented when necessary to protect safety, fairness or orderly event operations.
4. Event-specific touring-series rules take precedence when a sanctioned series is responsible for competition procedures.
5. Lack of knowledge of a posted or published rule is not a valid excuse for noncompliance.

1. Every driver must register under the driver’s correct legal name, assigned car number and proper racing division.
2. Driver substitutions or vehicle changes must be reported to race officials before competition begins.
3. Every person entering a restricted area must possess the proper admission ticket, waiver, credential or wristband.
4. Wristbands and credentials must remain visible and may not be transferred to another person.
5. Minor drivers and minor pit participants must satisfy Hartwell Speedway’s age, parental-consent and insurance requirements before entering a restricted area.
6. Track management may require proof of identity or age before registration is accepted.

1. Drivers are responsible for the behavior of their car owner, crew members and guests in restricted areas.
2. Fighting, threats, intimidation, abusive conduct and physical confrontation are prohibited.
3. Verbal abuse, discriminatory language, harassment and deliberate disruption of an official’s duties are prohibited.
4. No participant may enter the racing surface, control tower, scoring area or another restricted operating area without permission.
5. Reckless driving, retaliation and intentional contact may result in removal from the event, disqualification or suspension.
6. Anyone impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs or another substance may be denied entry or removed from competition.
7. Weapons, dangerous conduct and deliberate damage to property are prohibited except where possession is expressly authorized by law and track policy.

1. All vehicles, race cars, ATVs, golf carts and support vehicles must travel slowly and remain under control in the pit area.
2. Pedestrians have priority throughout the pit area.
3. Race vehicles may not be tested, accelerated aggressively, spun or driven recklessly in the pits.
4. Children must remain under direct adult supervision and away from scales, staging lanes, moving equipment and active work areas.
5. Crew members must remain behind designated barriers or in authorized areas while cars are on the racing surface.
6. No one may cross or enter the racing surface unless directed by a track official.
7. Each pit space must be kept reasonably clear of loose equipment, trash, fuel spills and other trip or fire hazards.
8. Open flames and unsafe fuel handling are prohibited in the pits.

1. Drivers must report to staging when called. Failure to report promptly may result in loss of starting position.
2. Starts and restarts will be controlled by the flagperson, Race Director, track lights or RaceCeiver instructions.
3. Drivers may not jump a start, break formation or deliberately delay a start or restart.
4. When a caution occurs, drivers must reduce speed, avoid the incident area and follow official lineup instructions.
5. A car involved in or responsible for a caution may be placed at the rear at the Race Director’s discretion.
6. A car that repeatedly causes cautions may be black-flagged or removed from the event.
7. Repairs may be performed only in the designated pit or work area unless an official expressly authorizes otherwise.
8. Drivers reentering the track must obey the official controlling pit exit and merge safely.
9. Deliberate rough driving, retaliation or avoidable contact may result in a black flag, position penalty, disqualification or suspension.
10. Scoring will normally revert to the last officially completed lap when required by race-control procedures.

1. Every race car is subject to technical and safety inspection before, during or after an event.
2. A vehicle may not enter the racing surface until required safety inspection has been completed.
3. Cars directed to the scales or inspection area must report immediately and may not return to the pit stall first.
4. No work, adjustment, addition or removal may be performed before post-race inspection unless authorized by an official.
5. Added ballast must be securely attached, clearly marked and installed in accordance with the applicable division rules.
6. Refusal of inspection, failure to report or interference with an inspection may result in disqualification.
7. Division-specific body, engine, tire, weight, fuel and suspension rules remain separate from these general track rules.
8. Touring-series technical rules apply when Hartwell Speedway hosts a sanctioned touring event.

1. Competition protests must be submitted to the designated official within the published protest period.
2. A protest must identify the specific rule or component being challenged.
3. Required protest fees must accompany the written protest.
4. Social-media posts, arguments in the pit area and complaints to unauthorized personnel are not formal protests.
5. Potential penalties include warning, loss of position, loss of points, loss of purse, disqualification, removal, probation, suspension or exclusion from future events.
6. Serious safety, conduct or technical violations may result in an immediate penalty without prior warning.
7. Penalties may apply to the driver, car owner and responsible crew members.

1. Hartwell Speedway may delay, shorten, postpone, reschedule or cancel an event because of weather, track conditions, safety, car count or operational requirements.
2. Racing divisions may be added, combined, rescheduled or removed when necessary.
3. Once an event reaches the point defined by track policy, it may be considered complete.
4. Rain-check, refund and ticket-credit policies will be announced for the affected event.
5. Competitors and spectators should review official website and social-media announcements before traveling.
